River of time

The river of time is the river that flows endlessly from the future into the past. Because it existed outside time, it is said to contain a dreadful secret hidden at its estuary. Time within the River of time is unpredictable and convoluted.

The River People do not have the same perception of time as humans. when river people go upstream they become younger and older when they go downstream.

Outsiders are not beholden to the flow of the river of time, since they have come from outside it. They are free to roam it as they wish, traveling any distance. That is why they are also called Pilgrims.
